Tara Diebling Named CEO of Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital


Tara DieblingLEXINGTON, Ky. – Tara Diebling has been named chief executive officer of Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital, a 232-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in the HealthSouth network of rehabilitation hospitals. Diebling will officially assume the position on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.

No stranger to leading a rehabilitation hospital, Diebling comes to Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital from The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis (TRISL), a partnership of BJC HealthCare and HealthSouth, where she has served as chief executive officer since 2013. Prior to leading the hospital, she served on the hospital’s leadership team as controller for three years and has worked in healthcare financial roles since graduating cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University.

During her tenure with TRISL, Diebling has overseen the hospital’s expansion to a satellite hospital location in St. Peters, Missouri; has been tapped as an executive coach and preceptor for the company’s new leaders; and has consistently improved quality outcomes in the areas of overall hospital care, discharge destination, employee engagement and patient experience. She has also worked closely and served on committees with hospital partners such as BJC HealthCare and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

As chief executive officer of Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital, Diebling will oversee the day-to-day operations as well as patient quality and care at the physical inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and home health services for patients overcoming a variety of debilitating illnesses and injuries including stroke, hip fracture, brain injury, spinal cord injury and complex orthopedic conditions.
